These Terms are an agreement between you and User Picks ("we", "us", "the app"). By creating an account or using the app — on the web at userpicks.app or on iOS — you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use User Picks.
User Picks is a college-football against-the-spread pick'em game. Each week you make five picks; the point spread is locked in the moment you submit. Everyone plays in one global pool, and standings are based on wins only. It is a game of skill and bragging rights. There is no entry fee, no real-money wagering, and no cash or prizes of any kind.
You must be at least 13 years old (and old enough to form a binding agreement where you live) to use User Picks. By using the app you confirm that you are.
You sign in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for activity on your account. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the menu in the app (see Support).
You choose a display name that is shown to every other player in the pool. It is also public
outside the app: your player page at userpicks.app/u/<handle> is readable by
anyone with the link, and if you finish a week in the top three of either board, your display
name — or your @username, if you have connected an X account — may appear in our weekly
standings post on X. You agree that your display name and your use of the app will not:
The app applies a basic word filter as a courtesy, but that is not a guarantee. We operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable names and behavior: we may change or remove a display name, and suspend or delete an account, that violates these Terms — with or without notice. To report an offensive name or another player, email support@userpicks.app and we will act promptly.
The point spreads and odds shown in User Picks come from third-party data providers and are offered for playing the game only. They may be delayed or inaccurate, they are not an offer to gamble, and they are not betting or financial advice. Nothing in User Picks facilitates real-money wagering.
We offer User Picks "as is" and "as available". We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
The User Picks name, app, and content are ours or our licensors'. You keep the rights to the display name and content you contribute, and you grant us permission to display it within the app to run the pool.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, User Picks is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Because User Picks is a free game with no money at stake, our total liability to you is limited accordingly.
You may stop using User Picks and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
If you download User Picks from the Apple App Store, you also acknowledge that: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for the app or its content; Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
If we change these Terms we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
